TIC Americas Finals were held at the Hilton Princess Hotel on 2nd and 3rd June, prior to the XLI OAS General Assembly. TIC Americas is a program of the Young Americas Business Trust (YABT), in its 2011 version includes three categories of prizes: Talent and Innovation Awards, Eco-Challenge Awards and TIC El Salvador National Awards.
Six winners from the Talent and Innovation, were awarded $5000 each, in the following categories:
Spirit of Entrepreneurship Mexico |
 Tradition and Culture Chile |
 New Markets Colombia |
 Social Entrepreneurship El Salvador |
 Creative Design Uruguay |
 E- Business Mexico |
The Eco-Challenge Awards 2011, funded by PepsiCo, sought for viable and innovative solutions to existing environmental problems. The winners in this category were RaxuleW from Guatemala and Verdeate.com from Colombia. Each of them was awarded with $5000 in addition to the International recognition and visibility.

The national TIC El Salvador Awards , sponsored by the Citi El Salvador and the Dirección Nacional de Juventud of El Salvador identified ideas that would contribute to improve the quality of life of Salvadoran youth. The winners of this category were: Endow Technologies, Newschool and TipSal. These teams won $2500 and five finalists received $1200 of seed capital to develop their businesses.

The People's Choice Award was granted to ChocoMix, of the department of San Miguel, El Salvador; a recognition of for an outstanding Green Business was presented to Uumbali, from Mexico.

The competition winners will receive a strengthening and improving support services. TIC Americas is an international competition for business creation and accelerator for young entrepreneurs that goes beyond developing a business plan which include monitoring, international visibility, networking and market opening.
