The Young Americas Business Trust (YABT) officially launched the 2009 edition of the Talent and Innovation Competition of the Americas (TIC Americas). The TIC Americas model is an international business plan competition that goes beyond traditional business plan competitions to incorporate extended training, mentoring, and product testing. This will accelerate the development and the extraordinary potential of innovative young entrepreneurs and scientists.
The third edition of the competition begun in September 2008 and the on-line Semi-Finals runs finalizes on April 1, 2009. The on-site final judging and recognition event will be an official activity of the XXXIX General Assembly of the Organization of American States (OAS) held in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, 2009. The deadline for the registration of the teams is April 1, 2009
The Young Americas Business Trust (YABT) is a non-profit corporation working in cooperation with the General Secretariat of the Organization of American States (OAS). YABT acts as a catalyst to spur the development of young entrepreneurs through business training, partnerships, leadership and technology. As a strategic alliance with the private sector and donors to increase resources for young people in the America, YABT relies on technical and financial contributions to support its work.
